The picturesque Shire London Golf Club was the perfect setting for the 10th Annual GPH Charity Golf Day on the 16th May 2014. It was in aid of the Little Havens Childrens Hospice, and the British Judo Foundation.

32 players made up 8 teams of clients, suppliers and staff who generously gave their time to raise money for these small but all the more crucial charities. Not only was it a chance to do some good, everyone had an opportunity  to showcase their golfing skills and compete against each other for the much coveted ‘GPH Charity Golf Day Team Winner’ trophy! Stuart, Barry, Duncan and Adam were this years winners, beating off stiff opposition!

A much-needed dinner was enjoyed at the Shire London Golf Club and then the real fundraising began after dinner. A fantastic raffle of prizes donated prizes from the company and directors managed to raise a substantial amount. This was then added to by generous donations from all. The directors of GPH Datacoms then pledged to double whatever was raised. It was a fantastic evening and day of golf, but ultimately it was a brilliant opportunity to raise money for these charities. Warren then lead the cursory Sports Quiz, handing over the winning prize to the only two females present!

The numerous generous contributions allowed us to raise £2500 for the Little Havens Childrens Hospice. Thanks to your generosity, we can support this fantastic hospice with their crucial work in supporting children and families with end-of-life care and symptom control due to a life-limiting or life-threatening condition.

We also raised an additional £1000 that is being gifted to another fantastic charity GPH has supported in the past, the British Judo Foundation. Through promoting community participation in the sport, the BJF aims to improve the quality of life of those taking part and facilitate the participation of disadvantaged individuals who otherwise would not have been able to be involved.

GPH Datacoms would like to thank every participant for helping raise money and making the day such a great success.
